Community Standards

Rules & Policies

These rules apply across the Repeat SMP Minecraft server, Discord community, website, forums, and related services.

Last Updated July 15, 2026

Repeat SMP staff may act against clearly harmful behavior even when a specific situation is not written word-for-word below. Rules are enforced according to context, severity, evidence, history, and impact on the community.

Minecraft

Repeat SMP Server Rules

These rules apply while connected to any Repeat SMP Minecraft server, region, event server, or linked in-game service.

01

No Cheating

Any modification, client, tool, script, or behavior that gives an unfair advantage is prohibited.

Examples include:

  • X-Ray, ESP, cave finders, or ore locators
  • Baritone or automated pathfinding
  • Kill Aura, Reach, Aim Assist, or Trigger Bot
  • Fly, Speed, NoFall, or movement hacks
  • Freecam or detached-camera modifications
  • Minimap or radar modifications
  • Auto clickers, macros, scripts, and bots
  • Cheat clients or unauthorized client features
  • Duplication methods or inventory manipulation

Punishments may range from a temporary ban to a permanent ban depending on severity, intent, previous violations, and damage caused.

02

No Exploit Abuse

Do not abuse bugs, glitches, loopholes, desynchronization, unintended mechanics, or configuration errors for personal gain.

Report discovered exploits privately to staff. Sharing or demonstrating an exploit publicly may still result in punishment when it enables abuse.

Severe exploit abuse may result in a permanent ban, inventory wipe, rollback, or removal of illegitimate items and progress.

03

No Harassment

Treat other players with reasonable respect. Competition, rivalry, roleplay conflict, and friendly banter are allowed. Targeted abuse is not.

  • Do not repeatedly provoke a specific player
  • Do not organize targeted harassment
  • Do not follow someone across platforms to harass them
  • Do not use roleplay as an excuse for personal attacks
04

No Hate Speech

Racist, homophobic, transphobic, sexist, religiously discriminatory, or otherwise hateful content is prohibited.

This applies to chat, voice chat, usernames, nicknames, skins, capes, builds, signs, books, items, map art, team names, and other content.

05

No Threats

Threatening players, staff, creators, or community members is prohibited. Real-world threats will be taken seriously, including threats presented as jokes when they are intended to intimidate.

06

No Doxxing or Private Information

Never disclose, threaten to disclose, request, trade, or distribute another person's private information without their clear permission.

Examples include:

  • Addresses or precise locations
  • Phone numbers
  • Private email addresses
  • Real names that are not publicly shared
  • Personal photographs
  • School, workplace, or family information
  • Private conversations intended to remain private

Doxxing may result in an immediate permanent ban.

07

No Spam or Unauthorized Advertising

Do not flood chat, repeat messages, excessively ping users, or advertise unrelated communities, servers, products, services, streams, or social accounts without staff approval.

08

Follow Chat Guidelines

Do not bypass the chat filter, disguise prohibited words, repeatedly send inappropriate messages, or intentionally disrupt conversation.

Context matters, but repeatedly testing the limits of the filter may itself result in punishment.

09

Appropriate Usernames, Skins, and Content

Usernames, skins, capes, team names, builds, books, signs, map art, and other visible content must remain appropriate for a public community.

Players may be temporarily removed until inappropriate account or cosmetic content is changed.

10

Respect Staff and the Moderation Process

Staff members are responsible for keeping the server safe and functional. Do not harass, threaten, impersonate, obstruct, or intentionally interfere with staff duties.

Disagreements should be handled privately through tickets or appeals. Respectful criticism is permitted; public harassment campaigns are not.

11

No Punishment Evasion

Do not use alternate accounts, VPNs, proxies, shared accounts, or other methods to bypass a mute, restriction, suspension, or ban.

Ban evasion may result in a permanent network ban for every connected account.

12

Staff Discretion

Not every harmful action can be predicted and written into a rule. Staff may act against behavior that harms the community, gameplay experience, server economy, infrastructure, or other players.

Punishments may be increased for repeat offenses, attempts to conceal evidence, dishonesty during an investigation, retaliation, or coordinated abuse.

13

No Senseless Griefing

Do not destroy large areas of the world solely to create damage, lag, visual destruction, or cleanup work.

Prohibited examples include:

  • Large lava casts
  • TNT nuking or mass crater creation
  • Mass destruction of terrain without purpose
  • Large-scale water or lava flooding
  • Lag machines disguised as griefing

Normal survival conflict and ordinary base griefing remain allowed unless another rule, claim, agreement, event policy, or protected area applies.

14

No AFK Killing

Do not attack, trap, damage, or kill players who reasonably appear to be AFK, regardless of their armor, inventory, location, or whether they announced that they were AFK.

Attempting to pop a totem, push a player into danger, remove their armor, or arrange an environmental death still counts as AFK attacking.

  • Minecraft servers
  • Social media accounts
  • Streams or videos
  • Products or services

Advertising is allowed only in approved areas or with prior staff permission.

07

Use Channels Correctly

Keep conversations in their intended channels. Off-topic, duplicate, or misplaced content may be moved, closed, or removed.

08

Respect Staff

Staff decisions should be respected. If you disagree with a moderation action, discuss it privately through a ticket or appeal instead of creating a public argument.

09

No Impersonation

Do not impersonate:

  • Staff members
  • Content creators
  • Community members
  • Repeat SMP representatives
  • Automated bots or official accounts
10

Self-Harm and Crisis Situations

If someone expresses thoughts of self-harm or suicide, respond respectfully and notify staff immediately.

Do not mock, encourage, manipulate, dismiss, or sensationalize a crisis situation. Staff may contact platform safety teams or emergency services when necessary to protect someone.

11

Follow Discord's Rules

Every member must follow Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines in addition to the rules listed on this page.

12

Use Common Sense

Not every situation can be covered by written rules. Staff may act against behavior that is clearly dangerous, disruptive, abusive, or harmful to the community.

Repeat SMP Community Expectations

Competition is encouraged. Harassment is not.

Repeat SMP is a content-focused community. Members are expected to respect fellow creators, support collaborative storytelling, maintain a positive environment, contribute to the community, and have fun.

Conflict is allowed. Personal attacks are not.
Rivalries are encouraged. Targeted harassment is not.
Stories can become intense. Real-life boundaries still matter.

Minecraft rivalries should stay in Minecraft.

Forum Rules

These rules apply to forum threads, replies, reactions, private messages, profile comments, signatures, polls, uploads, and reports.

01

Keep Discussions Respectful

Debate ideas without attacking the person behind them. Insults, targeted hostility, dogpiling, harassment, and deliberate humiliation are prohibited.

02

Post in the Correct Forum

Choose the forum that best matches your topic. Staff may move, merge, rename, or close misplaced or duplicate discussions.

03

Use Clear and Honest Titles

Thread titles should describe the topic. Do not use misleading titles, fake staff notices, excessive capitalization, or clickbait intended only to attract attention.

04

No Spam or Low-Effort Flooding

Do not repeatedly post the same content, create unnecessary duplicate threads, abuse reactions, bump threads excessively, or post meaningless replies to increase your message count.

05

Do Not Revive Old Threads Without a Reason

Replying to an older thread is allowed when you have relevant new information. Do not revive inactive threads solely to joke, spam, or move them back to the top.

06

No Hate Speech, Threats, or Doxxing

Hate speech, discriminatory content, threats, private information, targeted harassment, and attempts to intimidate members are prohibited.

07

Keep Uploads and Links Safe

Do not upload or link malware, phishing pages, stolen account tools, explicit media, shock content, illegal material, or deceptive downloads.

08

No Impersonation or False Authority

Do not impersonate staff, use confusingly similar names or avatars, fabricate official notices, or falsely claim to represent Repeat SMP.

09

Respect Private and Restricted Forums

Content from private staff areas, appeals, reports, tickets, or restricted forums must not be copied or distributed without authorization.

10

Do Not Abuse Reports

Report content only when you reasonably believe it violates a rule. False, retaliatory, mass, or deliberately misleading reports may result in account restrictions.

11

One Account Per Person Unless Approved

Do not create alternate accounts to evade restrictions, manipulate votes, inflate reactions, impersonate another user, or mislead the community.

12

Moderation Actions Must Be Respected

Users may delete or lock their own threads where the forum permits it, but staff may restore, preserve, move, edit, or reopen content when required for moderation, evidence, or community safety.
